PROLOGUE

I exhaled, deciding I wouldn't get another chance to speak with her tonight. I had already eaten, and I saw no reason to stay.

Just as I was about to leave—

A scream tore through the night.

A sickening thud followed.

The party fell into an eerie silence before chaos erupted.

I turned, my instincts sharp. Something was wrong.

Stepping outside, my eyes fell on the source of the commotion.

A man lay on the ground, his body twisted unnaturally. Blood pooled beneath him, staining the marble floor.

A few guests gasped, their hands covering their mouths. Some backed away in horror. Others were frozen.

I recognized the man.

But before I could process it, a figure pushed past the crowd—falling to his knees beside the body.

His face drained of color as he reached out, his hands shaking.

A strangled cry tore from his throat as realization hit.

I turned my head, searching for Shalini.

She stood frozen, her hands trembling, her eyes locked on the scene.

The tension in the air was suffocating.

Then—

A ding echoed through the silence.

The elevator doors slid open.

Every head turned.

And when we saw who stood inside—

The air left my lungs.

Ekta.

The crowd froze.

Someone gasped.

And in that moment, I knew—

Everything had changed.

Stay tune for the thrill and suspense which is waiting for you.
